My 2023 Intuitive Vision Board

Every year I create an Intuitive Vision Board for my year ahead (see last year’s ‘Voice’-inspired vision board).

I begin my vision board process by reflecting on the past year, to identify what worked and what I want to grow into more in the new year ahead. This year I didn’t choose one single word, more of felt-sense of how I want to feel as I navigate my daily terrain.

My feeling-words for 2023 are:

  • Ease

  • Fullness of Expression

  • Soulful Maturity

  • Blooming

I held my loose feeling-word intentions in mind as I flipped through a couple of magazines with lovely, recycled matte pages. I find colour, tone, texture and nature imagery helps me match my feeling to an image.

As I found images, I allowed my intention to shift and dance a little. Sometimes an image just ‘feels right’ - it doesn’t have to make logical sense. That’s our intuition bubbling up with its benevolent voice.

The words ‘Healthy Indulgence’ and ‘Inclusiveness’ felt poignant, so I glued them on.

As I felt into the images I intuitively chose, other values and intentions arose to mind for my year ahead:

  • Mindful connection to nature and the present moment, via my senses

  • Continuing to use natural materials in my art explorations

  • Teaching children to connect within to better understand/manage/express their energy

  • Exploring and engaging with natural beauty
