  • Peri-Women-Pause: A Guided Creative Practice

    πŸ‘‰ Join us to carve out 1.5 nourishing hours of guided creativity each month, dedicated to nourishing self-care and education for tired and transforming peri-women, in togetherness.

    πŸ‘‰ When you join, you’ll receive access to our PWP Member’s Studio, which includes your zoom link, session dates, materials list and more.

    πŸ‘‰ Each month will explore a different theme, such as PERMISSION, REST and RECLAIM, guided with care and understanding by Chrissy (also in peri!), using simple art and craft supplies, and bite-sized morsels of therapeutic, peri-inspired research.

Your Facilitator

Hi, I’m Chrissy. I’m a late-diagnosed, highly sensitive, perimenopausal, cat-loving Autistic-ADHD artist, arts therapist and educator, with a Master’s in Therapeutic Arts Practice, Specialising in Arts-based Research.

As a sensitive, empathetic, kind-hearted giver, l know how challenging it can be to carve out time for our own needs and soulful regeneration, as we navigate the responsibilities, riches and tumults of our perimenopausal experience.

That’s why I created Peri-Women-Pause ... a regenerative online journey where we can gather to rejuvenate, nourish our changing needs, and feed our creativity spirits within a kind and caring community who also genuinely GET IT!

βœ… Frequency and Duration: Throughout the year, we gather online on the third Wednesday of each month for 1.5hrs. Carving out this time helps us approach our needs with consistent and regular rejuvenation, while nourishing our personal advocacy skills.

βœ… Focus on Self-Care: Our primary goal is to create a safe, nurturing space to prioritise self-care, during a transformative period in our lives. As many of us experience a staggering range of physical and emotional changes that significantly impact our capacity, self-care is crucial during perimenopause. Feeling supported to turn inward towards our own voice, brings clarity.

βœ… Education & Agency: Experiencing bite-sized morsels of therapeutic, peri-inspired research, provides us with practical knowledge to help us understand what we’re going through, and why, without overloading our already overloaded body-mind. Education complements the experiential learning aspect of the sessions, and enables us deeper permission for our needs.

βœ… Community & Sharing: Each session, there is an optional check-in time to share our experiences and takeaways. A shared community that understands and nourishes our support network can allow us to feel less isolated on our shifting journey through change.

  • Perimenopause relates to the time of life when significant reproductive hormonal changes occur, as a person with ovaries runs out of eggs.

    It often starts in your 40’s and lasts on average over 4 to 6 years, up to 10 years.

    Perimenopause primarily impacts people assigned female at birth (AFAB) who have ovaries, including cisgender women, transgender men, and non-binary individuals.

    Common impacts and symptoms include mental, physical and emotional shifts, including hot flushes and night sweats, sleep problems and tiredness, headaches, aches and pains, dry vagina, sore breasts, mood changes, forgetfulness and brain fog, anxiety or depression.

    It can also be a time of spiritual significance and distillation of our values, needs and deepened meaning of purpose.

  • Absolutely not. You know your body best and if you are over 35, not feeling yourself and experiencing several common perimenopausal symptoms, then you’re welcome to our group! Many medical professionals are still catching up on the latest research on perimenopause, meaning many people are undiagnosed.

  • To get the most of your membership and rejuvenation, attending each monthly session is recommended. However, nourishing yourself with self-care is the most important value underpinning the PWP membership. If you are unable to attend a PWP live session, please let me know and I can send you through the slides from the evening to go over in your own time. Due to the private nature of each person’s perimenopausal experience, live sessions will not be recorded.

  • Absolutely! This is a safe and welcoming space for anyone experiencing perimenopause, including people with ovaries, or identify as a woman, trans. queer, non-binary or intersex folk. This is an intentionally safe, affirming and non-judgemental space, where our community can feel secure and each benefit from shared experiences and perspectives. Inclusivity and safety is paramount here 🌈🌻✨

  • We welcome menopausal and post-menopausal people as an important part of our community. Whether you’re in peri, menopause, or beyond, you can still benefit from experiencing regular creativity and self-care. You will also likely have significant perspectives and life experiences that can benefit the group too. While the research will be focussed around the perimenopause period of life, the creative experiences can be adapted to suit your individual ways of being.

  • Absolutely not! Just as you don’t need to be an olympian to swim, you don’t need to be an artist to engage in creativity! I have been a teacher and artist for almost 30 years, and I have a myriad of ways to share creativity in a way that is open, fun, gentle and accessible. The arts are a wonderful human experience, available to everyone.

  • The PWP Member’s Studio is the online hub for your membership. It includes your zoom link, the monthly themes and materials list and some bonus content you can access throughout your membership.

    It’s free and you’ll gain access from 1st January 2026, or instantly whenever you sign up after that date.

  • Yes, absolutely. You can receive membership content for as long or as little as you like.

    To cancel your membership, log into your customer account, navigate to "Account" and then "Subscriptions"

    Find the membership you want to cancel, and click "Cancel subscription". You can also disable auto-renew to let the membership expire at the end of the current billing cycle. 

    You will have access to the membership content until the end of your current billing month.

    Please note, I am unable to refund membership payments, as the content is available to you for the full duration of each monthly billing cycle. So if you’d like to cancel your membership, do it before your next billing date :)

  • Peri-Women-Pause is a creative, educational experience, using therapeutic arts techniques and research to support your mental and emotional nourishment during perimenopause.

    While I facilitate and support a sense of shared community and belonging in our monthly sessions, the workshops are not dedicated to sharing meandering or open chats about our peri experiences.

    At the end of each session will be an optional 10 minute share space, where you’ll be invited to briefly share what you found meaningful during your creative process.

    Outside of this, there will not be suitable time for participants to share, as most of the LIVE workshop will be dedicated to your learning and creativity.

  • No. Peri-Women-Pause is not designed or intended to be group therapy.

    Peri-Women-Pause (PWP) offers a relaxed and nourishing environment designed to help you carve out time for meaningful self-care.

    Participants can explore naturally therapeutic arts and crafts alongside experiential education, while attuning to your innate needs, especially during times of a fluctuating capacity.

    For clarity, PWP does not:

    • offer individualised medical, or professional mental/emotional health support

    • substitute for professional therapy

    As a participant, it is essential to prioritise your self-awareness and self-care. Please take time out whenever you need during the live workshops, and engage in ways that feel genuinely nourishing for your system in each moment.

    If you experience any acute physical, mental or emotional challenges during your PWP membership, please seek help from a trusted professional for one-on-one support. I am unable to provide individual support during live group experiences or via email.

  • I offer 2 partial scholarship spaces in peri-women-pause at any one time, for those experiencing financial hardship.

    The scholarship rate is 75% off the monthly fee, meaning you will need to contribute $14.75 a month.
