Your Monthly, Neuro-Affirming, Therapeutic Arts Program for Personal & Professional Development.
Created for Highly Passionate, Empathetic, Neuro-sparkly Wellbeing Professionals π«
Our needs matter, as much as our Clientsβ
As neuro-sparkly, empathetic, sensitive therapists and practitioners, weβre deeply passionate about our soul-work and hyperfocussed on giving 100% to help our clients feel nourished and thriving.
AND, personally, we live with unique sensory and processing needs, alongside co-existing health conditions that can zap our energy capacity.
With such big output, we require a great deal of meaningful support, self understanding and compassionate input, to help mitigate the constant cycle of teetering neurodivergent overwhelm and burn out. (I get it β it can be SO hard!)
Furthermore, if youβre late diagnosed and learning to understand your own needs, in the midst of competing work/family/health responsibilities - itβs very easy to find ourselves last on the list.

Introducing: your Nourishing Neuro-kin Community π«
Welcome to ARTunement, the nourishing, creative offering Iβve always wanted to experience, create and share β¦ with you!
This online program beautifully combines inspiring therapeutic arts processes, with the latest neurodivergent research and lived experience, delivered through experiential learning.
Each month together, weβll explore how our unique systems function and thrive, empowering us to feel more confident and supported in our therapeutic work with others.
Your Facilitator
Hi, Iβm Chrissy. Iβm a late-diagnosed, highly sensitive, perimenopausal, cat-loving Autistic-ADHD artist, arts therapist, and educator, with a Masterβs in Therapeutic Arts Practice, Specialising in Research.
Iβm cis-gendered, π³οΈβπpansexual, π³οΈββ§οΈinclusive, and my special interests include creative expression, self-discovery, houseplants, nature, beauty and animism.
I love to share nourishing, educational, neuro-affirming therapeutic arts experiences alongside fresh research, with neurokin practitioners who, like me, have struggled to navigate their own wellbeing, while supporting others.
Welcome, to ARTunement.

Program Overview
Sessions will include a balance of hands-on experiential, and multi-modal information formats, to keep our attention inspired and body feeling more regulated, while we learn.
Together, we will bolster our lived experience from a strengths-based approach, informed by emergent, autoethnographic-style art therapy processes, alongside neuro-friendly mindfulness techniques, creative self-inquiry into the natural rhythm of our unique profiles, and belonging within an aligned group of passionate neuro-kin.
By the end of each session, youβll have a better understanding of your unique processing in particular areas of your lived experience, feel creatively nourished, and meaningfully shed another layer of neuro-normative assimilation, by authentically discovering who you truly are, within your neuro-sparkly skin.
As a bonus, youβll also experience a variety of neuro-affirming approaches that can be easily adapted to your work with own clients. Nourishment in, nourishment out!
#NothingAboutUsWithoutUs

Important Noteπ
While we recognise the significant overlap between neurodivergence and trauma, this is not an art therapy group focused on trauma processing. This program is not a substitute for professional therapy.
Instead, ARTunement offers proactive strategies and guided educational experiences that blend personal and professional development, in a neuro-affirming manner.
As a participant, it is essential to hold yourself with self-care and self-soothing strategies, and take time out whenever you need during the live workshop. I am unable to provide individual support during group experiences.
If you sign up for ARTunement and find that you are not within your capacity on the day, please prioritise your needs and access the workshop recording within 30 days of the live workshop.
For those needing support with acute or complex trauma, I recommend seeking help from a neuro-affirming trained therapist, for one-on-one support.
FAQβs
-
No. Whether you are officially diagnosed, self-diagnosed or are simply pretty sure youβre neuro-sparkly, you are welcome here!
-
Yes, we welcome professional allies in our group, open to learning alongside us! However please be aware, that neuro-spicy folk have our own way of socialising and communication, that often sits outside of social norms. This is a friendly space, so feel free to ask questions as we go. I also recommend researching Miltonβs theory of βdouble empathyβ for more information about autistic-to-non-autistic communication.
-
As a naturally caring and empathetic wellbeing professional, you will learn SO much about neuro-affirming practice that you can bring to both your clients and your child. If you have specific questions, feel free to contact me.
-
No. Throughout our sessions, we will explore the unique intersections of neurodivergence, womanhood and professional identity. Therefore, this is a safe and welcoming space for anyone who identifies as a woman, including trans and rainbow folk π³οΈββ§οΈπ³οΈβπ, fostering an environment where everyone feels secure to share their experiences and perspectives.
-
Absolutely! Just as you donβt need to be an olympian to swim, you donβt need to be an artist to engage in the arts! I have been a teacher and artist for almost 30 years, and I have a myriad of ways to share creativity in a way that is open, fun, gentle and accessible. The arts are a wonderful human experience, available to everyone.
