Art-making for neurodivergent sensory processing

As someone who experiences life through the lens of autism and ADHD, art making is a key tool that I use for sensory processing and emotional regulation.

I have always felt big and I’ve always loved drawing, painting, sculpture and all the creative things.

Luckily for me, what my nervous system craves is also my greatest love : creativity.

Creativity has the unique capacity to connect us with our wellbeing, releasing striving and allowing us to settle our hearts minds and bodies into to thriving.

Whether it’s drawing, painting, cooking, dancing, photography, making art with seedpods, or just listening to the breeze and enjoying the wonder of nature, creativity allows us to meet ourselves in a more gentle, yet powerful and nourishing way.

If you’re looking for some tools for your own neurodivergent thriving, pop over to my website and check out my new resources page, for some of my fave tools, books and people.

Love, Chrissy 💓
