My ADHD Mindset
I have a very unique brain and way of experiencing and processing the world.
If there were no such thing as a neurotypical person, my functioning would be considered completely normal and my strengths optimal.
But because my adhd brain works very differently, in a non-linear and more sensory influenced way, it’s more challenging for me to live within social norms and expectations. I’ve always been a maverick.
I got diagnosed late in life and it’s been an utter godsend, because now I can reframe my thoughts and advocate for myself.
Not always easy, absolutely.
However research shows that a strengths based approach is imperative for people with adhd to experience success.
Adhd coaching has been hugely helpful for me with this mindset shift, and learning my unique strengths and weaknesses to identify where I need to ask for help.
Always leaning 🙌
