Catching Dreams

Yesterday afternoon, I went for a walk down along the waterfront with my little guy, as we often do. We often find stranded mangrove seeds on the beach and while he was happily throwing them into the waves, I started to arrange them into a circular shape.

When I found some leaves and placed them around the circle, I suddenly realised I was witnessing the emergence of another Dream Catcher.

I seem to have had a 'thing' with Dream Catchers in recent weeks. I'm not sure why, other than I love the aesthetic of them and how the feathery leaves underneath them are free to blow in the breeze.

Whenever I notice a theme cropping up over and over in my life, I usually take them as little 'signs' especially for me.

This week I've been thinking that maybe, it's time to stop kidding myself, and begin to focus on bringing my real dreams to life.

It's difficult sometimes, because I get scared of the power and magnitude of my own dreams.  They seem too far ahead that I shy away and tell myself to not bother starting.

But the dreams that are truly a part of me, are the dreams that call from my soul.

Over and over, throughout the years, I have mused over having my Art as a fabric and homewares range - particularly on lounges and sofas. So this week, I've decided it's time to step into action and draw my dreams into life.

So, now it's out there. My dreams are one step closer to happening, because I've finally had the balls to stare them in the eye and take action.

I'll be looking into collaborations with amazing designers in the coming months, and expanding my fabric range with some of the sneak peeks you've seen here.

Wish me luck and courage
