New Artwork ~ 'Giftenne'

Boy, do I have a pretty new feminine fave to show you! Meet 'Giftenne'.

Mixed media on canvas 60 x 60 cms. (c) Chrissy Foreman Cranitch, 2013

Giftenne began as an artwork which featured a couple of seed pods I collected, with a photograph of the sun setting on the bay. After a break away in Caloundra and space to ponder my life, this is what came out.

The title 'Giftenne' is a fusion between feeling that the Universe is bestowed with gifts, which are beautifully flowing into my life; with a feminine sense of movement and birthing, in the creative sense.

There are images of night moon-viewing, rolling waves, patterns on the sand, early morning tree silhouettes, and liquid gold sunsets.

This is the first artwork I've completed whilst knowing I'm creating a body of work for a solo gallery exhibition, which I finished applying for this morning. I'll await to hear back from the gallery, but in the end, it doesn't matter if I'm accepted or not, because like everything else in my life, the most wonderful places and people will come along to support me.

All I have to do, is do the work and show up, every day, to meet Life.

I hope you love her as much as I do.

Love, C x
