THE PROCESS:
This artwork features painted detail using handmade paints I created from my home region in Moreton Bay, Australia.
I started this piece during covid and used art as a way to process and find comfort. I found a beautiful peacock in a magazine which represented my spiritual and physical side. While the landscapes surrounding it are things that helped me feel grounded - A hot air balloon. Mountains. Shack.
INTUITIVE INSPIRATION:
‘Mirror of Authenticity’ is about meeting ourselves, in particular our Spirit, through the life experiences we most enjoy. Personally, I love peacock colours, rainbows, mountains, flowers and new growth, as shown in this artwork. In this way, we can become our authentic self in the easiest way - by simply leaning into our natural inclinations and joys in life.
