The process of art making was reminding me piece by piece, brush stroke by brush stroke, to trust the unfolding. As if the artwork was whisepring to me: You’ll naturally get to the end. The girl and dog in this piece remind us to have a bigger perspective, to stand back and look, to trust we are being lovingly companioned by life.
This artwork features flowing acrylic paint, collage and silver leafing, amongst floating lines and pastel hues.
I recall how creating this piece felt calming, as I mindfully moved my brush over the surface with flowing lines, and breathed. Afterwards I felt embodied, secure and flowing with my experience, like a flowery tendril in the breeze, yielding to the flow of life.
