This artwork was inspired by a flower festival in Toowoomba, West of Brisbane. I have a lot of family roots here, so when I saw the flowers, it felt like my whole heart was flourishing!
Back in the studio, I began by creating a background with a rainbow, and collaged photographs I captured at the flower festival. I then added painted details using acrylics and handmade paints I found, ground and created from my home region in Moreton Bay, Australia.
