Peri-Women-Pause is a new monthly program, thoughtfully designed for perimenopausal people like us, seeking a restorative and creative outlet to navigate and process this rich and challenging path.

On the third Wednesday night of each month, we gather for restorative, naturally therapeutic arts sessions that blend gentle education, rejuvenating creative experiences and connection, with an online community that shares similar symptoms and challenges.

Every session is gentle, soulful and helps us tune into deeper meaning, as we navigate our shifting capacities and rediscover our inherent needs for thriving.Together, we shed the old, rest and rise, awakened and anew 🌸🐦‍🔥💗

🌿 An Overview of Peri-Women-Pause Sessions 🧶

  • Peri-Women-Pause: A Guided Creative Practice

    👉 On the Third Wednesday night of each month, we gather via zoom for Peri-Women-Pause: 6:30-8pm Brisbane time (AEST) 🌸🐦‍🔥

    👉 Experience 1.5 nourishing hours of guided creativity each month, dedicated to nourishing self-care and education for tired and transforming peri-women, in togetherness.

    👉 When you join, you’ll receive access to our PWP Member’s Studio, which includes your zoom link, session dates, materials list, freebies + more.

    👉 Each month will explore a different theme, such as PERMISSION, REST and RECLAIM, guided with care and understanding by Chrissy (also in peri!), using simple art and craft supplies, and bite-sized morsels of therapeutic, peri-inspired research.

    👉 We wrap up each session with reflections on what worked well for us, and how to bring it into our everyday lives 🌸

Your Facilitator

Hi, I’m Chrissy. I’m a late-diagnosed, highly sensitive, perimenopausal, cat-loving Autistic-ADHD artist, arts therapist and educator, with a Master’s in Therapeutic Arts Practice, Specialising in Arts-based Research.

As a sensitive, empathetic, kind-hearted giver, l know how challenging it can be to carve out time for our own needs and soulful regeneration, as we navigate the responsibilities, riches and tumults of our perimenopausal experience.

That’s why I created Peri-Women-Pause ... a regenerative online journey where we can gather to rejuvenate, nourish our changing needs, and feed our creativity spirits within a kind and caring community who also genuinely GET IT!

Themes for Each Session: Each month, a different focus is explored, such as PERMISSION, NEEDS, and REST. A themed approach allows us to dive deeper into specific aspects of our experience, giving us time to reflect on how we can show up for ourselves, positively impact our personal growth, and help shift expectations on our collective as people experiencing significant change in perimenopause and beyond.

Therapeutic Arts Experiences: Creative sessions support a naturally therapeutic approach to self-understanding and processing our new ways of being in the world. Engaging in artistic expression can help reduce stress, deepen our self-awareness, connect with new ideas and create a lasting influence that we can take into our daily lives. Win-win!

Frequency and Duration: Throughout the year, we gather online on the third Wednesday of each month for 1.5hrs. Carving out this time helps us approach our needs with consistent and regular rejuvenation, while nourishing our personal advocacy skills.

Focus on Self-Care: Our primary goal is to create a safe, nurturing space to prioritise self-care, during a transformative period in our lives. As many of us experience a staggering range of physical and emotional changes that significantly impact our capacity, self-care is crucial during perimenopause. Feeling supported to turn inward towards our own voice, brings clarity.

Education & Agency: Experiencing bite-sized morsels of therapeutic, peri-inspired research, provides us with practical knowledge to help us understand what we’re going through, and why, without overloading our already overloaded body-mind. Education complements the experiential learning aspect of the sessions, and enables us deeper permission for our needs.

Community & Sharing: Each session, there is an optional check-in time to share our experiences and takeaways. A shared community that understands and nourishes our support network can allow us to feel less isolated on our shifting journey through change.

Peri-Women-Pause (PWP) offers a relaxed and nourishing environment designed to help you carve out time for meaningful self-nourishment. As a participant, it is essential to prioritise your self-awareness and self-care. Please take time out whenever you need during the live workshops, and engage in ways that feel genuinely nourishing for your system in each moment.

PWP does not:

  • offer individualised medical, or professional mental/emotional health support

  • substitute for professional therapy

If you experience any acute physical, mental or emotional challenges during your PWP membership, please seek help from a trusted professional for one-on-one support. I am unable to provide individual support during live group experiences or via email.
