Art, like my ADHD Brain

Authenticity is hugely important to me. Whether I’m making breakfast or making art, I need to feel an alignment between my body’s wisdom and my actions.

As my ADHD brain processes life in a non-linear way, I’ve gotten very good at listening to my intuition to guide me. I mostly sense my intuition through my subtle body’s energetic feedback, gently nudging me from moment to moment to listen and connect within, and make choices from this space.

As I follow each inner nudge, not knowing how the outcome will unfold, I feel a body-mind, soul attunement.

I’m reminded that the moment is unfolding just as it needs to be, and it’s my choice to live on that cusp, that edge, between what’s becoming and the present moment.

The more I lean into my limitations and strengths with my ADHD brain, whether it’s:

  • my challenges with memory, emotional regulation and executive functioning

  • my ability to experience great empathy with those around me

  • or my ability to tune into my intuition, simply because I can’t plan ahead …

… the more authentic, alive and real my art and life feels.

With love,
