A Poem from Today's Bush Journaling

a sense of slow connection

a gentle uncovering

a soft unveiling, aligned

I've taken a gap year

for things to be lighter,

arms opening wide

a slightly curved motion

bringing it all in

it has been super tight

a coming-home-feeling

a bringing together

supporting my tummy, back, height

sensitive in the world

leaning within

Self love, self care, combined

a myriad of worlds

a knowing of nuances

there's something in this to find

a laser focus

a full awareness

energy beyond my own skin

an intuitive component

lovely. smooth flecks

a profound move in the breeze

I touch grandma grace,

honoring the animacy

giving attention, a body that’s wide

my own breed of therapy

the art of connection

crossing the threshold bridge

my tummy and heart

come back to the body

to its width, its breath, its edges

sweat dripping down

my elbows, spine, forehead

bearing witness, allowing change

insects let me know

a fallen green branch

That's correct, clear out, flow freely

I come to the end

feels like a continuing

a river, the ground, reclaimed
