New Nature Art Installation
🌿💗 This morning I ventured into the bush track behind my house on Gubbi Gubbi Country.
I packed some natural twines like raffia and string, and gathered fallen nature materials along my walk.
With shoes off sitting crossed legged under a tree in the bush, I began weaving and tying, arranging and rearranging, and this loveliness emerged.
I love the colours of fallen gum leaves in Spring. There is a so much variety and beauty to appreciate.
During the making of the sculpture, I was visited by two groups of both young and elderly folk, who were fascinated to find an artist in the bush!
It was so nice to chat with passers by, as often when I create nature installations, I never know if anyone gets to actually see and enjoy them
You can find this mini installation on the Hays Inlet ‘Koala walk’ bush track in Clontarf, Queensland.
