Creative wellbeing journal - Body wisdom

Hello beauties ❤️

This morning I headed out to my front deck beanbag, overlooking the birds in my front yard tree, incense on, earphones in, sitting listening to some meditative prompts about the power of words. Many words spoke to me, and as I listened to each one, I intuitively symbolised dance moves in my body, feeling how each word felt to me.

Yet the word I felt most in my body was WISDOM.

I’ve grown to understand and embrace the wisdom of my body’s communication with me.

The loving guidance my body holds, and brings to the surface for me to hold.

I found the image of the New Zealand bird, ‘Kea’ in my national geographic stash, cut it out, and noticed the cutting left a beautiful silhouette behind. So I placed the Kea facing into the centre of the page, and used a white crayon and watercolours to silhouette another Kea facing in to each other.

These two birds represent both parts of me, my inner and outer worlds, facing one another. To grow, to understand, to acknowledge, to see, to nourish all complimentary parts of myself. The feminine and the masculine. The light and the dark. All of my parts.

I can’t pick and choose who I am, it hurts too much to deny parts of me. So I embrace, face and hold myself in love, as best I can in each moment.
