Creative wellbeing journal - We are worthy of peace

This morning I sat down to listen to one Sarah Blondin’s beautiful meditations on Insight Timer (an amazing free meditation app, I can highly recommend). Sarah said in the meditation, ‘You are worthy of peace.’ I really felt into that statement, acknowledging that I find myself easily spiralling into fear in these epic times, and how I also know I have more loving tools that I can rely on to feel realigned.

For me, these tools include art-making, meditation, connecting with my loved ones, choosing an uplifting card, cups of herbal tea, noticing beauty, nature time, and actively noticing my immediate experience in the present. 

It made me realise that stress and anxiety have been my go-to reaction to keep me safe for a very long time ... yet it’s up to me to practice new responses that better help me navigate challenge more peacefully, so they become my new go-to. Because we all are worthy of cultivating peaceful qualities and experiences in our lives. Truly. We deserve a reprieve from fear and even learn how to thrive amongst it. 

I know I’m not perfect, there are very real challenges occurring right now, and I’m doing my best to be gentle with my reactions and responses at this time ... And I’m also using this time as a self-initiated need to practice better strategies for my daily wellbeing. Feels more constructive and loving to my being, than staying in fear and feeling helpless. I’m a better Mum and person because of it. 

We are worthy of peace. 
Every day. even right now.
