Colour Mixing Rainbows

It's no secret that I love me a bit of rainbow coloured action and this term I've been doing some work every Friday afternoon in my son's grade 1 class, to teach all about colours and mixing.

Over three weeks, we identified primary then secondary colours, learned about the colour wheel, drew and painted colourful images in each colour and collated them all together in the final week to create a 'rainbow' for their room. Bringing 20+ six year olds together in a room of paint will always be a little chaotic but boy, they had fun! Check out our process, below.

All my Love,
