Indie market highlights
So it’s Sunday night and I’m still on a high from the Brisstyle Indie Designers Market yesterday. I had such an amazing time, meeting so many customers who have been following my work on the interwebs and lots of amazing new people as well. To say I felt the love is an understatement ~ I feel so truly blessed for the day!
So I thought I’d share a few highlights with you. My new market stall came together even better than I’d expected. The cubey things I bought especially worked a treat, with a couple of bits of dowel attached to hang my originals from. It also left a sneaky little window for me to be shop girl (with a hunchback, that is).
I changed the way I displayed my prints to sit in these lovely woven baskets, so peeps could just flip through. Must’ve worked, I sold out of this print yesterday!
There was enough space in front to display my little hand-painted tea sets. The one in the middle went to a lovely woman who was visibly brimming with excitement at her new purchase. Gosh, I love it when my work finds such a loving new home.
I wasn’t sure what to do with my fabrics, so i just strung them up on some pretty white chain.
My new notebooks and cards were a hit. Of course! Ha ha! Just jokes. Not really ~ They're cool! I’d buy one!
The lovely Cathy from Angelwing Jewellery was my market buddy. A huge thanks to her and her Hubby for helping me set up and pack up on the day! Check out here amazing sterling silver jewellery pieces.
I loved the rainbow woven wool around the tree trunk. Yum yum.
Here’s what I went home with at the end of the day: A beautiful gift from Little Chrissy (brooch, left), sexy little turquoise-orange glass earrings from Hot Toffee (middle) and a beautiful pair of circular earrings from Angelwing Jewellery (right).
Oh – and the photo shoot just isn’t complete without this ridiculous pic Cathy took of me while we were setting up the night before. I actually had someone ask me, if they paid extra, would I resume this position for them again in the flesh?!
If only they knew me, they’d know I’d gladly do it for free.
Hope you had a great weekend. Love Chrissy xx
