New custom tea set with dragonflies

Well, what a week it’s been so far. I started my first day running art workshops at Powerkidz on Tuesday, ready to juggle the next two weeks working full-time with a young baby. Alas, only one day in and kidlet has fallen ill, so we’re confined to the house for the rest of the week.

It’s not all bad, I’ve had time to complete a custom tea set for a lovely girl named Sam, who wanted a special pressie for her Mum’s Birthday.

Sam let me know that her Mum loved dragonflies and the colours orange, green and purples … So this is what I came up with for her.

I’ve written ‘Mum’ along the handle of the tea cup and ‘Love Sam’ on the saucer to make it extra special for her.

After the last custom commission gone awry, I admit I did I felt a little bit gun-shy with this one, so I’d reworked it a few times until I was really happy with it. I’ve sent through a finished pic to Sam and she loves it. Phew!

I’m thinking about using this design for a custom order listing in my shops … dragon flies, butterflies, leaves or florals I think would suit this style really well and it’s a nice way for people to get a custom piece made for someone special. Will get around to it when kidlet is a bit better, poor little tyke.

Hope you’re having a great week. xx
