My birth art quilt

This weekend just passed I had the pleasure of attending a full-day sewing class at the absolutely gorgeous Piece Together sewing space. The workshop was called ‘Sew … Birth?’ and it involved a small group of women coming together to explore their ideas of birth, love and children through the medium of quilting.

Here’s a few highlights of the day …

Fabric scraps, sewing machines and a whole lotta mess? You had me at ‘hello’!

If you’d like to take a closer look at the amazing quilts made by the other Mummas in the class, or to connect with the lovely Melissa who ran the class, check out the Quilting For Happiness blog.
