In Colour Me Happy, your teen will experience an inspiring fusion of intuitive art & design experiences, alongside mindful prompts to develop their artistic, social and emotional wellbeing.
We’ll explore drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, nature and intuitive art-making processes in a supportive and inspiring environment, specially designed for unique, creative and sensitive souls.
Each session builds on the next, teaching teens real-life skills as an artist by developing their artworks deeper and further.
Art sessions accommodate for respectful social interactions via collaborative art-making, working in pairs and small groups, as well as creating individual artworks alongside one another.
Our classes emphasise self-esteem, identity affirmation, environmental sustainability and meaningful self-expression.
Neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ friendly 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
About our group:
Our Teen’s Art Group are a wonderful, welcoming, exploratory group of young artists, and we genuinely enjoy sharing creativity together each week.
We are a neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ affirming group, so our latest group member will suit someone who is especially kind, quirky, caring and creative too!
Please note this is not an art therapy group, however we will learn and experience naturally therapeutic arts techniques to help build creative literacy, self-expression, artistic skill and working together within a creative, social environment.
Suitable for young people who:
may be sensitive or a little anxious, and could benefit from a calming, supportive environment for art-making and embracing emotional intelligence
would love a creative career in the arts, and would benefit from a therapeutic art mentor
enjoy the process of art-making with a wide range of art mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture
Please note if your child requires individualised support, 1-on-1 Art Therapy sessions may be more beneficial. Learn more HERE
