Deciphering Your Inner Landscape
Through my creative work with clients and my own inner landscape, I’ve noticed a lot of common themes emerging that we’re collectively experiencing …
The Collective Feeling Is:
🌿 Knowing the old isn’t working anymore, and we’re stepping tentatively into the new – using intuitive gut hunches to guide us
🌿 Deciphering how our own inner landscape talks to us (I faciliate this in art therapy sessions)
🌿 Craving more time in nature via walks, bush/beach visits, mini getaways
So, wanted to share some love through an intuitive card pull for those who feel like they need a little guidance about listening to inner landscape as a tool that we’re on the right track.
💫 An Intuitive Card Reading For You
💫Card 1: INTUITION
Intuition is an internal tool we are all born with, however it may seem that some of us are better at deciphering it. If this is true, it is because intuitive people, often have a regular practice that helps us slow down, listen within and take time to get to know our internal landscape.
Intuition can come to us in many ways and to begin with, it can appear as if from the blue:
a gut feeling emerges thats’s not directly associated with a prior thought
a picture or vision of something that feels alluring
waking up to a recurring saying or song lyrics
repetitive themes in dreams
The part that strengthens our intuition is when we act upon it.
For me, art-making has always been the easiest way to tap into and act upon my intuitive hunches. I slow down and listen for my first impulse for colour and shape, then act on it, get it on the page. I then do this again, perhaps with watercolour paints or collage or air clay. I don’t make a big deal out of it, it simply use it as a tool to slow down and connect within. In time, an artwork comes together - a landscape of my intuitive soul - and it always holds beautiful surprises and messages.
💫Card 2: SPIRIT WISHES
I believe the language of my Spirit and Intuition are one and the same. Both speak in a subtle language that feels different to the usual chatter in our heads. Spirit guidance is often more visceral - felt - and may not always make logical sense, which may mean it feels easier to brush off. But there are ways to tell it apart.
Our Spirit Wishes are always recurring - sometimes even from childhood. They often feel like a mix of nostalgia and excitement, and depending on how long they’ve been around, perhaps also associated with lots of questions in our heads.
Spirit Wishes are always growth-based - I’ve never had a spirit wish that is detrimental to my health or wellbeing, in fact quite the opposite. It’s like the healthiest part of us is calling us forward.
I sense our Spirit Wishes as a very alive part of us that’s waiting for us to engage and BECOME. It doesn’t always have to be grand acts or life-changing events - it may simply be to enrol in that tennis tournament or art class you’ve wanted for a really long time. And something in that experiences strengthens within you, to take a bolder leap elsewhere. Lots of baby steps lead to aligned change.
💫Card 3: Abundance
Gone are the days of martyrdom. We as a people are learning to question the old ways things were done and to truly ask, Is this still nourishing my heart and soul?
This question is the pre-cursor to recognising our inner abundance: a wellspring that can gauge if/when we need to make shifts in letting go, or moving closer to a more abundant way of taking care of ourselves and our planet.
Abundance is everywhere when we look for it - I see it most in nature, with a single tree amazingly sprouting thousands or leaves and seed pods, which hold thousands more lifetimes within them.
From flowers to water to sky to wind, nature provides everything we need in such a beautiful way and she can lead us towards gratitude and knowing ourselves better. Nature calls us to engage with her abundance, because we are kin. Next time you’re outside, simply notice the sun’s rays on your skin and marvel that of all the space in the entire Universe, those rays chose your skin to warm and glow unto.
That’s everyday abundance, right there.
