Full-fill-ment

As the weather warms up, I've been able to reignite one of my favourite self-care processes: Making simple trips to the waterfront. It's not always a planned thing and in my experience, these incidental little moments of self-care are where the gifts of Life can happen.

I spotted the sparkling water in the distance from my doctor's car park earlier this week (we've all had the flu!) and felt instantly beckoned, to experience it closer. The water was crystal clear, the breeze so slight and the warmth of the sun meant no jumpers were required. It felt so good for my skin and my soul. My son and I kicked off our shoes and let the sand and water tickle our toes.

I know myself that sometimes, I really need to make a conscious effort to let go of schedules and shoulds, in order to just Be. No matter how busy we get, there are always those moments on the way home from appointments or work or school drop-offs, where we can let a little spontaneity in. I used to 'fill' my Life to the brim with busyness and now, instead, I am learning to actually enjoy it by making it a priority to full-fill my Spirit.

The next time you pass somewhere and say, 'Oh, I wish I could go there', ask yourself, Why not?

A five minute breather, or a promise to self to revisit that place on the way home, might be just the Spirit full-filler you need today ... A few moments in time just to remember how you prefer to feel You.

All my Love, Chrissy x
