Art Jam Day

Earlier this year a ran an Expressive Art Retreat with a beautiful bunch of women. Many of us have kept in touch and we decided to catch up again for a reunion paint session together, which finally came today!

I hired out my favourite space at Viroga Yoga Studio for us for the day and we sprawled ourselves out across floors, tables and chairs while we listened to music, chatted, sipped tea and painted.

The mood was exciting, yet loose and light as we expressed ourselves with colour. Every now and again we'd stop what we were doing to admire each other's progress and process.

I have recently bought some black gesso and neocolour water soluable crayons, and I loved exploring with these along with some beautiful hand-painted papers and Polish Folk Art serviettes that the other girls brought along to share.

As the day unfolded we created more and more beautiful expressions. It's so easy to feed off each other's vibe in these kinds of situations and we all adored being in close proximity with each our as we created. Such a blessing.

At the end of the day we laid all our Artworks out to share with each other and got some pics to remind us of our special time together.

Here is my piece from today, called 'Celebration' (thanks Jas for the title inspiration) ... It's so vibrant in real Life.

Such a great day, were planning on doing this every few months. Yay for shared creativity!
