New Artwork ~ ‘Confetti’

Sometimes I create an artwork in stages. I’ll think it’s completed until I see it the next morning and decide to tweak it a little.  And sometimes a lot.

Here’s how my artwork ‘Confetti’ came along …

First night:

Blocking in the background intuitively and with abandon, not trying to make anything in particular just playing with colour and movement …

Turning the artwork around 90 degrees then adding the main features …

Mountains emerged.

I reworked the mountains into waves of emotion // added detail to the innards to represent my sparkling heart // softened and sharpened areas = ‘Confetti’!
