New fabric & cushion design ~ ‘Little Pleasures’

After I created ‘Little Pleasures’ as a print yesterday, I wondered how it would look as a repeat pattern, for fabric. Sometimes, a design will work really well as a pattern and others won’t and it greatly depends on the subject matter and how dynamic the design is.

I imagined that Little Pleasures might look like a mountain range once the pattern repeated itself. I was right!

FAT QUARTER_Little Pleasures

It kind of looks a little bit Aztec, to me. This is the view of a quarter yard, to give you an idea of size. Seeing the repeat pattern made me think it might also look fantastic as a reversible cushion cover.

The front of the cushion would feature a panel of the original artwork and the back would be the repeat pattern. What do you think? I know I’d love one in my house, but I’d love your feedback as I can be a little colour crazy (who’d have thought?!)

I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Love Chrissy x
