Custom tea set for a bride’s little helpers

It’s the best feeling when you’re asked to do a custom order and it turns out perfect for the person commissioning the work. A lovely lady from Western Australia called Linda ordered a tea set for each of her friends, to say thanks for helping out with her wedding preparations.

She explained the colours, themes and interests of her friends, along with their names and what she hoped for with the tea sets. Here’s what I came up with …

Linda wanted Deanne’s name on the front and ‘Thank ‘You on the saucer …

And the same for her other friend, Gigi. Gigi liked all things cute and ‘Hello Kitty’, but I didn’t want to infringe any copyright laws, so I adapted the bow from our feline friend and used that in the design.

After this quick photo shoot for my records (my digital files are hitting the thousands now, no wonder I need an upgraded computer!), these babies were carefully packaged up in copious amount of bubble wrap and popped in the post for Linda and her lovely helpers.

It’s such an honour to be a part of someone’s lives like this ~ To help create lasting memories and capture feeling and emotions of another person. I love to share stories through my own work, but to do it for another, to help them say something special from the heart, is just the bees knees.

Ahhhh , I love my job.
