Process pics of a tea inspired collaboration
My artsy collaboration with artist/illustrator Tracey Fletcher King is in full swing. You might remember the tea pot I painted as my part of the collaboration, and how Tracey will then use this artwork as inspiration for her drawing, for me.
Tracey illustrates life; the every day moments. Especially those involving the time-honoured process of tea-sipping and activities around the home.
So she’s asked me to send through a few process images which relate to the Tea Pot I’ve created. The first I sent through was this one …
For some reason, I often imagine inanimate objects having a personality. Clearly, the tea pot I’ve painted is having a love affair with my favourite tea pot, Ruby.
I thought she might also like to see my stash of teas, including the cuppa I had this morning whilst kidlet tried (and succeeded) to pull my pants down in order to pick him up. The rest were blurry, it’s hard to photograph one-handed-left-handed – with your pants down.
These aren’t the first process images I’ve sent through to Tracey. She’s been documenting my tea pot journey since it began …
Tracey’s plan is to collage the process sketches into a piece which documents my journey – and hers – in an illustration in this kind of style …
Yup, I’m a lucky girl! I can’t wait to see where she takes it from here … You can follow her journey on her facebook page and blog.
